Norris Hot Springs

Norris Hot Springs

Do you enjoy soaking in naturally hot water with no chemicals? Do you enjoy not having cell service and being able to completely check out and enjoy yourself? Maybe you love an old, western mountain rustic feel? Or live music? Well if you answered yes to these, you will love Norris Hot Springs.

I’ve been to Norris Hot Springs a number of times with my friends in my three years of Montana living, and it has remained one of my favorite hot springs of all time! Actually, it’s tied for first with the hot springs in Jasper, Canada…

Just another selfie sticked selfie with my amazing selfie friend.

Norris Hot Springs is known as the Water of the Gods.

It’s about 45 minutes west from Bozeman in the small town of Norris and about 75 minutes away from West Yellowstone. So you see? It’s an easy evening activity if you are staying in either of those two towns.

And it’s cheap! It’s only $8 for an adult pass and the price varies for children under 12 and adults over 64.

Norris Hot Springs is a quaint, rustic place nestled into a canyon. Often times you can see birds flying or deer grazing on the hillside.

Finding it is pretty easy, as it’s at a cross roads right at the town of Norris right off highway 287.

My favorite part of going here is the ambiance. The Norris Hot Spring pool is made entirely of wood. There are very clean port-a-potties and changing rooms. They serve food that is mostly grown right there. They also serve beer and wine so parents can relax while their kids swim in the water. My guess is that the water is four feet deep, perfect for a relaxing soak.

And if you are lucky, you get to sit through a concert! Norris Hot Springs has fun music all year round on the weekends, played from a stage inside a geodesic dome!

Overall, it is a lovely place! Again, it’s rustic and super chill and super perfect on a nice cold, winter night in Montana!

Enjoy and Happy Travels Travelers!
